AI Review

only 3 left and the show is finally winding down - I assume we will have a couple more weeks because they will do a "year in review" where we will get all the really bad performances?? any way, next week we will have 2 left and we will be able to hear more mushy ballads from them until there is one person standing. I understand that AI Tour tickets go on sale this weekend - so if you are ready for the "Idols" butchering decent songs to coriographed numbers by all means - buy, buy, buy.

This week was 3 songs - one from the judges, one from the contestants, one from the producers. I wonder how Dadvid A would do now that his pops was barred from back stage??

First up -

David A - Paula was his judge and she picked...(drum roll pplease) another ballad - And So It Goes - i thought it was predictable and agree with Randy that he should have played the piano - what a safe song for him to get to sing. I would have picked "Girls Just Want To Have Fun" for him - now that would have shown his range.

-David picked With You - I will give him credit - he tried to make it a little younger, tried to pick it up a little, add some life to one of his performances - how did it go... I pictured him on the stage at Disney - bad dancing, ok singing, goffy looks - you can see it all at a theme park - he really can only sing one style - the ballad

- The producers pick Longer Than - none of those girls cheering know this song because they are too young but they love it because it is Archie singing - he does ok with this song but boy was it boring - just ok.

Syesha - Randy was her judge and I am surprised he did not pick a song he produced, or performed on - listen to him and he will tell you he is the dawg! Randy chose If I Aint Got You - man, I thought she was good, looked great and sang well.

- Syesha picked Fever - maybe not the best song at this time in the competition because it was a little show tune style but I really liked it. I really like this song - I picked it to play at our wedding reception (Beth walked down and was introduced to it) and I really like the Bob Weir version of the song. Any way - I think she did well with the song even though the judges did not like it.

- The Producers picked Hit Me Up - looked like she was having fun, I thought the song was fun and enjoyed it - I really liked Syesha tonight and still vote for her as the most improved of the whole show.

David C - Simon was his judge and when I heard earlier in the week what song he had picked I thought it was a joke - but he sure did try something different for his contestant versus the other judges that went safe - First Time Ever I saw Your Face - David did well - started out like a lot of his songs - slow then ended rocking - I thought it was decent.

- David picked Dare You To Move - not bad - he brought out his trusty guitar and gave it his best shot - this song would definitely been better if he could have played the whole thing - I would like to hear the extended version.

- The Producers picked - I Don't Want To Miss You - Aerosmith closing the show - ok, I can dig it - not may favorite Aero song but ok. David brought out the strings for the beginnning and ended it rocking out - a lot of other rockers have done that same style but it was good - very cool.

Here is my opinion - not the way I think it will come out but my opinion - David C was the best folowed by Syesha and then David A - HOWEVER - I predict that DA will have the most votes and Syesha and David C battle it out for the other spot.

We get to hear Fantasia sing tonight - OH boy can not wait for that crap - and get to see who the fans chose to be their top 2 - maybe I will watch the last 2 minutes so I do not have to hear Fantasia and see all the goofy crap they show to fill an hour.

Enjoy
