last week was a great week - we are in taper mode for the race and the mileage is coming down.
I was able to get about 50 miles of training in for the week and all the runs felt relatively easy. I followed up an 18 miler with a 16 miler the next day along the beach in Ft Lauderdale - it was pretty hot but I was trying to simulate race conditions. On Saturday I ran a 10 miler on Key Biscayne in about 75 minutes - including a pretty good climb on the causeway.
This week and next will be more taper then we will be off the the Keys to see how the training plan worked out and how fast I can run 50 miles.
