Congrats to the Boston C's for their victory in the NBA finals. Although I did not watch more than 10 minutes of any one game because the NBA is boring to me, the Celtics deserve a big congrats for a great season (guess Doc Rivers really can coach, huh Orlando?)
It certainly seems like the town of Boston has the corner on the Victory Parade these days - in the last 7 years they have had 6 parades - 2 for baseball, 3 for football, and 1 for basketball - too bad the Bruins stink.
Being a Philly phan I am not a Boston fan at all but... - 6 parades in 7 years (and the Red Sox are in first and the Patriots are looking like they might be good next year) they have all the fun. AND they have the worlds greatest marathon!
The early 80s Philadelphia had a decent run - 2 parades (basketball and baseball)in 4 years and 2 losers parades (Flyers and Eagles)in the same time frame. At that point I was too young to enjoy the fun (think adult beverage here) but if the Phillies could ever win one again I will be there - front row - enjoying the festivities!
