Horse racing

well, this weekend we have a chance to see history - something we have not seen in 30 years - a horse (and jockey) winning the Triple Crown - will Big Brown win? If he does he will accomplish something that 11 other horses (that won the first two legs) have tried to do in the last 30 years and have not been successful.

Good luck to him - if he wins breaking from the post this weekend you will have to count his Triple Crown as special - he broke from the far outside in Kentucky and won (something only one other horse has ever done), broke from the middle in Maryland and killed everyone, now he get the unfavorable post position in NY.

I can not wait to head to Jai Alai this weekend and get some money down - the first two legs of the Crown we have been out of town and not able to place wagers. I have not bet too much since that ill fated bet a couple years ago (we do not talk about that too much) but overall I am still ahead at the track and plan to keep it that way this weekend.

I know Big Brown is 2-5 and most likely will go off lower than that - but there are some other horses that have long odds (and hopefully will stay that way) that will help the Tri and Super bets. I would share who I like but I do not want to be responsible for anyone losing money :-)

Good luck to all and good luck to Big Brown - I hope he wins to bring back some interest into to horse racing
