So, the word on the street is that the 2008 Boston Marathon has sold out! Wow, I do not think they have sold out in a few years so this is great news for Boston. I have to assume the draw is the Women's Olympic Trials the day before Boston. This should be very exciting to see and I am looking forward to seeing these women tear up the nice course through Boston.
Someone else told me they thought it might be sold out because Lance Armstrong is running this year. I truly hope that the draw is the women and not Lance because he is a great athlete and very charitable (you decide on his character)but not a reason I would travel to Boston. One thing though, do you think that all of Lances pacers and handlers qualified legitimately for Boston??
Of course, it could be the news that Katie Holmes might be running Boston - maybe that is the draw this year? I sure hope Tom Cruises body guards were able to qualify in order to keep on eye on Katie!
Out of the 3 reasons listed I will take the first one - the Women's Olympic Trials - tune in a and watch, it should be good TV.

I agree that it's the women's Olympic Trials that has generated the increased interest. I hadn't thought about that before, but it was part of the reason I wanted to run it this year. But I tried to wait as long as possible and now it's too late! So dumb.
