Congrats to the Women's Olympic Team

The US team for the women's marathon is set - Kastor, Bouley, Russell will represent the US at the Olympics in Beijing (Olympics start 8/8/08). I am not surprised by the results but the way DK won was unexpected - she came from almost 2 minutes back to win in the last several miles - similar to her third place at Athens - nice and steady in the beginning and busting out 5:30 miles in the end.

The best effort of the weekend had to be Join Benoit running a 2:49:08 at 50 years old - she is awesome! I guess all that pacing for LA has paid off in her training.

Congrats to the ladies and good luck in Beijing.
