Key West 50 Miler Training

Training is going well for the Keys 50 miler - another week is in the books and there are 6 weeks to go - here is the week in review:

54 total miles - with a 21 miler, a 11 miler and a 10 miler - then some other runs mixed in. because of some issues I did not get a chnace to run on any soft surfaces this week - just on the roads with some cobbles mixed in - the week went well though.I was able to get in the gym a couple times to lift and work on stability and flexibility. Also was able to sneak in a couple spin sessions and I go tin the pool for the first time since November - yea me!

Some of the runs were good though - I was able to get the shorter 10 and 11 milers done in a pace of 7;45 or so - the 21 miler was a little slow for my liking but I am stilll trying different nutrition options and getting used to taking in more and different foods.

At one point last week I had run over 70 miles in 7 days - so I am happy that I am able to handle this worklaod. This week we will have two runs over 20 and have a total mielage of 60+
