As the 5k was winding down and all of our Team Hendryx athletes were done and enjoying soem down time after the race the last finisher of the 5k entered the track area. She was about 10 minutes behind the second to last finisher. When this athlete started her walk around the track to the finish line some of our Team Hendryx athletes joined her to encourage her to the finish. The even got her jogging a little on the last lap. Right before the finish line they peeled off and let the lady finish stronog and happy.
It turns out that she was and Team In Training participant from Mississippi. She was in town for the weekend and knew her teammates were back home doing a 5k and she entered this race to get soem training. Congrats on her completion and thanks to the TH athletes for their support and sportmanship.
