I "heart" new running shoes - I am breaking in my last pair of shoes this week before the race this weekend. With shoe technology these days you really do not have to break in your shoes but I like to get a couple runs in my new shoes to make sure there are no hot spots that will rub in to blisters. I am taking 5 pairs of shoes with me this weekend in case it rains or something - I hope I will not need all 5 but I figure it is better to be safe than sorry. I am thinking that changing shoes and socks one or two times during the race will be ok but we will see.
I have been stretching a ton this week and have a massage scheduled for today along with a a stretching session with Steve this afternoon - hopefullly between the two I will be able to release all the tight spots in my legs and have them ready roll 50 miles by Saturday.
The other piece of good news that has come this week - the wind is supposed to change from a east wind to a west wind - west wind means tail wind for the whole race - I can handle that

Thanks for sharing!! I have 2 pairs of New Balance running shoes. Those are really very comfortable and provide some positive energy in my feet.
