These pictures are not the best but this is what we saw last night at Epcot. Beth won the honor of viewing the fireworks from a private, invite only spot in France - with all the dessert you can eat.
We ventured to Epcot about 5:30p and proceeded right to ride Test Track because the info board said the line was 10 minutes (score) - we got there and the Mickey line lady said it was 30 minutes (not too bad) so we waited, and waited, and waited - once you are in the middle of the queue you are kind of stuck - after 1:01:32 (I timed it) we were on the ride. Overall, it was fun but not worth 61 minutes of your life In line.
Next we opted for a couple beers and a pretzel and a tour of the world. Because we spent so much time in line we missed Tony Orlando (no Dawn) so we opted for some authentic nachos and tacos (and Dos XX) from Mexico - I never knew cheez wiz was from Mexico :-) - then a tour of the rest of the countries on the way to France for our VIP showing of the fireworks.
At France we had some 1664s then to the VIP area. As the Mickey Guard let us through the velvet rope and we went out on a little patio to enjoy some fine desserts - mini eclairs (I can have 20-30 of them because I am still trying to gain my weight back from the Keys run), cheesecake, fruit, canolli, and sugar free brownies(there were a lot of those left over). After 20 minutes of dessert indulgence - the fireworks started - yeah fireworks.
Man that was fun! Nice to take a break from training once in a while.
Back to work on Monday - more races to gear up for :-)
