List Friday - 5 guilty pleasure foods

lets get away from music a tad and talk about eating - everyone eats - if you are like me you eat too much, too often, then have to work too hard to take it off. we all try to eat healthy but i have to tell you there are some things - let's call them guilty pleasures - that I can not take out of my diet - here are the top 5:

1.Beer - specifically Guinness - ok not a food but they say there is a pork chop in every beer - on a side note I have to have 2 beers the night before I race
2.Pizza - I say pizza is the single greatest food invention in the world - I can even eat bad pizza if I have too - I could eat pizza 24x7
3.Ice cream - no particular flavor - just ice cream - any kind from any place
4.Tater Tots - love the tot - have to hit Johnnys every once in a while - or the Tiki bar - just for a tot fix
5. Apple Fritters - believe it or not - 7-11 makes a fine Apple Fritter (it has fruit)

I left off the bacon cheeseburger because it does have a some protein in it and after a huge training run or ride it is ok to have.

Tell me your guilty pleasures - all you Miamiman people be honest because I am going to tell you to give them up until after the race :-)

The other thing that is awesome before a long race - Apple Pie - yummy

Guitly food pleasures?

Coca~Cola. There's just something about having an ice cold Coke after a race or long training session - staves off the headaches.

Starbursts - there's absolutely no nutritional value but I like them. I'd be better off eating the actual strawberry, cherry, lemon or orange instead.

Chocolate- in just about any form. I'm thinking of treating myself to chocolate milk instead of some kind of dessert.

OK, I've been honest. I eat very healthy meals but snack on crap. I guess for the next 7 weeks I can give up the Starbursts and chocolate (not the chocolate milk).
