2:43:00 for a 10k?

Tom C, a swimmer with Team Hendryx and the YMCA, swam the Nike Swim Miami open water 10k last weekend - his time was 2:43:00 for the swim. That is a terrific time of 26:27 a mile. That is 1:38 for every 100 meters - all 100 of them. He was second in his age group and 26th overall.

The winner was on the Israeli National team and swam 19:00 miles for 6.2 of them. WOW!

Congrats to Tom C on his outstanding accomplishment.

AMAZING!! I'd be happy to swim 1:38 in just one 100.
