Training Week Number 2




training week number 2 is in the books - 7 more week until the race. here is the recap:

M - no running - 60 minutes on the spin bike

T - 6 miles in 45:00 and 6x100 strides - tired legs today

W - 11 miles in 1:26:00, then a flexibility/core workout with Atheltic Trainer Steve for 45 minutes, then 3 miles on the track with the Need For Speed group

Th - 60 minutes on spin bike, stretching,core,weights at the Y

F - 17 miles on the dirt road in 8:14 pace - not a good day - tired legs - had to walk a couple of the up hills - frustrating. However, did the whole run on pretzels, water and peanut butter crackers (trying new nitrition options)

Sa - 10 miles on dirt road - 1:11:30 - ran with sean and he pushed me through this workout - felt great - first half in 37:00 and second half in 34:30. Then open water swim with TNT and short spin on the bike.

Su - 5 miles in 40:00 - nice easy recovery run.

Overall miles about 51 - back to back days were ok - the second day was better than the first.
