you ever have one of those days that you go for a workout and it all seems to go well? you feel good, running well, the weather is nice, you see funny things, meet nice people? well, that was today.
training for this 50 miler has been grueling at times - long weeks and long run days in the heat got tough at times but then days like this happen. I was not supposed to run this morning but I struggled a little yesterday on my 15 miler and thought a nice early morning run with no goals would be perfect. I just went for a run, no watch, no worries.
I ended up running an easy 8 miles in 60 minutes - about 20 seconds faster than race pace for the 50 and I have renewed energy to get me through the final week and a half of training. I will probably pull a double today and hit the track with our training group tonight but i am feeling pretty good right now :-)
